On the Lanham campus, the Oyer Library features a collection of 86,000 volumes and 12,000 non-print items. Two computer labs with a total of 18 computers plus two research computers, scanner, copier and printers are available for student use. The library also features an online catalog, OMEGA, e-resources, and 28 electronic databases providing our students access to 10,000+ e-journals, as well as Interlibrary Loan (ILL). ...WBC/CBS offers a Ministry Support Grant?
WBC students taking 13 or more credits and CBS students taking 10 or more credits are eligible for this scholarship, which provides a discount of $250 per credit a student takes above the minimum requirement to be considered full time. For example: full time at WBC is 12 credits. A WBC student taking 15 credits is taking three credits over the minimum full time requirement, so this student would be eligible for a $750 scholarship. A CBS student taking 15 credits (6 credits over the requirement for full time) would be eligible for a $1,500 scholarship. (Please note: applied music courses do not count toward this eligibility.) Our partner, WIN Family Services, has developed internship opportunities for the purpose of gaining valuable Human Service skills and Social Work experience, and welcomes interested WBC/CBS students to contact them for internship opportunities. WBC/CBS students interested in an internship with WIN Family Services should e-mail their name, contact information, degree program, career goals, and what they would like to gain from an internship opportunity to Nadirah Smith at nsmith@winfamilyservices.org. Thereafter the student will be contacted and scheduled for an interview.

We’ve heard the student requests for a way to purchase food and beverages outside of the regular Dining Hall hours, and we’ve answered with the Quick Pick Evening Café! Coffee, candy, muffins, fruit, crackers, chips, sodas, sandwiches, and much more are available for purchase during breaks and before class. The libraries of the Washington Theological Consortium contain over one million volumes in theology and related disciplines. Seminary students and faculty who hold a current, valid ID from a WTC school are eligible for borrowing privileges at WTC libraries during the academic year.

Through the partnership with WIN Family Services, students are now able to visit the Life Management Support Office. During office hours, a skilled and experienced WIN practitioner will be available to meet with students, assess their life management needs, and suggest viable interventions that will address student concerns and challenges. Office Hours are Monday through Thursday from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.; appointments may be scheduled by contacting Nadirah Smith. The WBC/CBS Advising Center is committed to providing guidance and information to help students enjoy a successful college and seminary experience. The Advising Center is located in Miles, room 219 and is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 am - 7:00 pm. On the Virginia campus, the office is available Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm and Fridays 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. Advising within their academic concentrations and programs is also available via appointment with the faculty. Two rooms in Miles Hall make up the Maximum Access Center, dedicated to supporting our students with disabilities. Navigating a new school can be tough – doing it in an unfamiliar country can be overwhelming. We’ve added an International Students Advisor to help ensure the success of our International Students. In addition to this, WBC/CBS now offers the opportunity for international students to have fun and get to know others from different parts of the world by joining in fellowship and prayer hosted by Dr. Ok Cha Soh. Dr. Soh hosts a weekly prayer meeting in the Prayer Barn every Thursday at 11:30 am. For fellowship and prayer, Dr. Soh hosts a meeting at her house once a month and provides a lunch. Recognizing that many students' schedules are just beginning in the evening after their workday ends, the extended hours of the Help Desk ensure assistance is available to our students taking classes in the evening as well. Ensuring the needs of the Commuter Student are addressed, we’ve also added an Evening Commuter Student Liaison to help commuter students maximize their access to all the services and resources on campus. The Help Desk creates a go-to point for students who have questions and no idea where to begin. From purchasing meal tickets and getting a parking permit to special services available or problems accessing or using campus information technology resources like cougarnet, email, or IT requests – to a myriad of other issues – the Help Desk is the easy starting point for a call, an email, or walking in with a question. The HelpDesk is available Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm and Friday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm. Located in Miles Hall, Room 120 (near the Chapel), the WBC/CBS Writing Center offers tutors who come alongside students to strengthen this important skill. Sign-up sheets are available at the HelpDesk: students are strongly encouraged to sign up for appointments at least 24 hours in advance in order to avoid having to wait to see a tutor. WBC's accelerated Adult Degree Completion Program makes it easier for working adults to finish their bachelor's degree. With majors in Biblical Studies or General Studies (concentrating in Business Administration), both programs of study emphasize a biblical worldview within an accredited degree program. Meeting just one time per week for approximately two years, students earn their degree and are better prepared to accomplish God's calling on their life in their ministry or in the marketplace.
