Institutional Mission Statement

Washington Bible College/Capital Bible Seminary exists as an evangelical Christian, multi-denominational, and multi-ethnic educational community dedicated to preparing men and women for local and worldwide service to God and humanity. College and Seminary programs equip students with a biblical worldview and prepare them for effective vocational service and lay ministry. The educational climate emphasizes biblical content and applications, academic excellence, intellectual and spiritual maturity, leadership development, and the ability to function as productive members of a multi-cultural society.

Washington Bible College/Capital Bible Seminary will become a premier Christian Higher Education institution located in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States with a network of ministry equipping centers that serve as intersections where Scriptural authority, Spiritual formation, Scholarship from a Christian Worldview, and Service to the Church/Community/World meet to equip believers who have a passion to serve as world-changers for Christ.

The Vision Manifested

Our students come to us because they love Christ and believe their education will equip them to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives. We have the privilege to serve our students by: anchoring their preparation with the Scripture, helping shape their spiritual formation, equipping them to engage in scholarship from a Christian worldview and fostering their service to the church, community and the world.

Through our academic programs and student life experiences, students will be prepared to serve the church, the marketplace, and the community by providing the knowledge, skills, and experiences required to fulfill their life mission. They will have developed the cultural competency to live and serve in a diverse cultural and ministry environment, and will be sought after for their level of preparation and ability to integrate the practice of faith into the world of ministry and the marketplace. Our graduates will serve in strategic places, prepared to change the world for Christ, wherever He leads them!
