As a service to our students, the Office of Financial Aid has compiled a list of outside links which may be helpful to students with regards to money and finances. While these sources are listed for your review, WBC/CBS is not responsible for the materials contained within them. Please use common sense and/or consult your financial advisor before applying any of the advice below. Requirements and deadlines will vary. Please do not limit your search to the list below. We strongly recommend that you do your own search online.

[Jan 15] American Mensa Local Scholarship Program
This essay contest provides cash awards of $300 to $1,000 to the winners. Applicants do NOT have to be Mensa members to enter and win. The applicant must (1) be a resident of the participating American Mensa Local Group’s area, zip code ranges from 20600‐20699 and 21000‐21999, (2) be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited U.S institution of higher learning, (3) must submit an application and essay explaining their academic and/or vocational goals. [Feb 1] Roothbert Fund Scholarship
This scholarship fund was created by Albert and Toni Roothbert in 1958 to help men and women in need of financial aid to further their education. This fund provides scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students at accredited colleges or universities in the United States. The focus of the scholarship is to seek candidates who are motivated by spiritual values; however, there is no emphasis given to any particular form of religious practice or worship. The grant amount average is $2000‐$3000 for the following academic year. The applicant must be (1) a resident of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, West Virginia, or North Carolina; and (2) invited for an interview after they have submitted an application. [March 1] FTE Fellowships
The Fund for Theological Education (FTE) is offering a number of fellowships to both undergraduate and graduate students exploring their call to ministry. Undergraduate sophomores and juniors should inquire about the FTE Undergraduate fellowships. Seminary students should inquire about the FTE Volunteers Exploring Vocation Fellowships and/or the FTE Ministry Fellowship. [March 15] Dana Kull Memorial Scholarship
The Dana Kull Memorial Scholarship is a special fund at Ocean City Tabernacle awarding scholarship funds to individuals pursuing education leading to vocations of Christian service. The fund supports the education of students at the undergraduate, graduate, or seminary level, based on the Committee's evaluation of the application. Most awards will range from $500‐$2500 per year. The applicant must (1) have at least a 2.75 GPA, (2) be pursuing a career in Christian Service, and (3) submit other documentation as required. The application is available in the Financial Aid Office from Feb 1 to March 15 annually. For more information, please contact OC Tabernacle at www.OCTabernacle.org.

[May 10] Logos Bible Software Tuition Giveaway.
Logos Bible Software is offering tuition scholarships to Seminary and Bible College students. This round of winners will be selected May 10th and each will receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship and a copy of Scholar’s Library. The scholarships are open to all students currently enrolled in an accredited theological Seminary or Bible College located in North America, or those who plan on enrolling within the next 8 months. All you have to do is watch a demonstration of Logos Bible Software and fill out a brief application. Once your application is submitted you will be entered to win a $1,000 scholarship and a digital theological library that, in print, would cost nearly $8,000! You only can enter once per giveaway period, but encouraging your friends and family members to apply is like entering multiple times. If they win and they entered your name in the “other” section, when asked, “How did you hear about the scholarship?”, then they will award you the $1,000 and a Scholar’s Library collection as well!
