About the EQUIP Institute
The purpose of the EQUIP Institute is to glorify God by building up believers in their faith and by strengthening and encouraging local churches. We strive to accomplish this through the systematic teaching of God's Word (Eph. 4:11-13; 2 Tim. 2:1-2, 15; 2 Tim 3:16-17).

For nearly a century, the Washington Bible College/Capital Bible Seminary (WBC/CBS) has provided Christians in the Washington DC metropolitan area with solid biblical teaching designed to increase their knowledge of scriptural truths and strengthen their witness for  Jesus Christ.  As a co-operative undertaking between WBC/CBS and the local church, the EQUIP Institute program has offered scriptural study and fellowship opportunities to thousands by bringing them together to examine the Old and New Testaments, Christian discipleship and counseling, and practical theology.

Student Benefits

By participating in Equip Institute courses, students receive:

-          A greater understanding of the Word of God, encouragement in their spiritual walk, and its application to their daily life;
-          The flexibility and convenience of evening classes, special seminars, or self-paced classes;
-          Certificates that recognize your completion and success;
-          Ministry and fellowship opportunities;
-       Confidence in your ability to answer tough questions.

Bible Track

The Equip Institute partners with local churches to provide courses and instructors that foster spiritual maturity and ministry effectiveness. Course offerings can be tailored to specific needs of local churches and courses are held in local churches in Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia.

The flexibility and convenience of Equip courses go beyond location as courses are offered in the evening, as special seminars, and on weekends. Tuition is affordable and certificates or diplomas recognize student participation and success.

Typical classroom courses are 70 minute sessions, one day per week, for 10 weeks. One Continuing Education Unit (CEU) is given per course. Courses may have different meeting schedules, such as seminars, and fulfill the same requirements. Online courses are self-paced, instructor-facilitated for six weeks. Once CEU will be given for successful completion of each course.

         FaithWorks

Through FaithWorks, Equip Institute offers online personal and professional development for the faith-based workforce. Through these instructor-facilitated courses, the student hones a skill or learns a new one, making them more marketable in the workforce, more valuable in their ministry, and better able to take the mission into the world.
