SOC 324 Perspectives on Cultures and World Missions (3) Spring
Prerequisites: FST 102 Missions Seminar, SOC 221 Introduction to Sociology
Viewing history and the world through the biblical, historical, cultural, and strategic lenses, this course provides an analysis of the development, spread, and social impact of Christianity as a worldwide religious and social movement. Special attention is given to the role and impact of the church on the cultures of two-thirds of world countries and on traditionally non-Christian cultures. Through research and extensive reading, students are equipped with the knowledge that will enable them to develop a deeper commitment to the cause of home and foreign missions.
